Bolles Harbor Cafe
13986 Laplaisance Rd
Monroe, MI 48161
(734) 457-2233

If you're looking for a great deal and food that will make your stomach sing, then have we got the place for you. This cafe is a delectable place to visit for a wonderful dining experience, and you'll love to eat here. Home cooked food is their specialty, which is great to know for those who are iffy about going to eat out because of all of the processed foods. Comfort, stick-to-your-ribs kind of food, what would be better than that when you need a pick me up? From their hearty meatloaf that is topped with their famous chili sauce, to their Mac and cheese topped with crispy panko breadcrumbs, everything is guaranteed to be scrumptious here! Not to mention that the servers here are some of the friendliest we've ever encountered, and you don't find that all too often anywhere else in the area. If you have the time for some great food, make sure you swing by next time you're able.

Monroe's Original Hot Dog Drive-In
1111 W Front St
Monroe, MI 48161
(734) 241-1612

If you're looking for a little nostalgia to go along with your meal, look no further than this establishment. This hot dog drive in has been a valued member of the community for years and years, locals always hear their grandparents talk about the good old days here at Monroe's. Back in the day, everybody would come in their convertibles to get a taste of the convenient hot dog, and to watch a movie to go along with it. It's an extremely enjoyable 50’s style drive in, and it screams authenticity. Car hops even come to your car in vintage rollerskates and take your order. They have a fairly simple menu to please everybody, serving up hot dogs, chips and sodas, and the occasional ice cream treat for dessert. This is a wonderful summer treat, the kiddos will especially enjoy this!

El Maguey
1096 N Dixie Hwy
Monroe, MI 48162
(734) 240-2591

It's not often you find so great of a restaurant that is family owned and operated, but when you find one, you should certainly become a regular! Supporting the local economy is only one positive to eating here, but the real reason lies in the amazing food. This establishment places pride in the food it delivers, and it's quite clear when you eat their food. Everything is perfectly spiced and cooked, nothing is overdone or bland here. They use only authentic family recipes, so you know that it's going to be amazing food as soon as you walk in and smell all the different flavors. The slow simmered pork is divine, no wonder why it's the crowds favorite! Put it on top of a bun with some barbecue sauce and some coleslaw and you've got yourself a classic sandwich that is certainly going to hit the spot. Come on by today and see what all the hype is about, you definitely won't regret it.

Frog Leg Inn Restaurant
2103 Manhattan St
Erie, MI 48133
(734) 848-8580

Frog Leg Inn is a favorite with all of the locals, and we definitely see why. They've gotten amazing critical acclaim for their amazing food, and some of their sauces are even in stores! That's how you know it's a place that is serving up quality morsels. You won't break the bank here either, and that's always a major plus, and definitely all more the reason to come eat here. We've found that many of the local patrons frequent this lovely little restaurant solely for the lamb sliders, and once you try them you will see just why that is. They are superbly prepared and cooked to perfection, you've never had anything like it before. The ambiance of this eclectically homey place is wonderful. Everyone we've talked to seems to highly recommend Frog Leg Inn!

Dolce Vita Italian
391 N Telegraph Rd
Monroe, MI 48162
(734) 241-6100

Dolce Vita is the best place for authentic Italian food in the area of Monroe, hands down. Although they offer Italian cuisine, you'll also find sushi at this establishment, and it's so good! You wouldn't expect to find fresh and quality sushi at an Italian restaurant, but it's fantastic here. You'll definitely want to stop by on Thursday for Martini night, for some really well made martinis that are fantastic along with sushi and Italian food. They also offer party trays along with catering if you're ever hungry on a party bus with all of your friends, it would make a great experience even better! Be sure that you stop in for a visit next time you are in the area, and try their signature dish, the chicken marsala. You'll be coming back for more, that's a guarantee!
