Nina's Taqueria
111 E Michigan Ave,
Augusta, MI 49012
269-731-5300

Nina's is certainly a colorful place to dine at from the decor to the fresh green cilanto topping make of their dishes. It's the most authentic of the typical Michigan style Mexican joints you are likely to run across. The first time anyone wanted to know about is how good their chips and salsa are, and we can report back, it's so good, but even better is ordering their fresh guacamole to go with it. If you are looking for the most authentic things on the menu we would recommend the Barbacoa Taco and if you are seeking to stuff yourself then the super burrito is the challenge you want.

Canal Street Cafe
113 E Canal St
Augusta, MI 49012
269-731-2622

Canal Street deserves a wonderful bistro like this, a place that can turn a hot dog and fries into a fine dining experience, like their Canal Dog topped with pulled pork, kale slaw and BBQ sauce on a pretzel bun. Other dishes they have on the dinner menu are just pure class, Carbonara with pork belly, mushrooms, and fettuccine, Marinated Flank Steak with blue cheese sauce and jalapeno relish. Make sure you save room for a nice big slice of caramel topped cheesecake with a pretzel crust.

Player's Grill
506 E Michigan Ave
Augusta, MI 49012
269-731-5420

The menu that they have here at Player's Grill is lengthy, they have both appetizers and starters, and they aren't just copies of each other, that's how detailed this list is. You can get a starter of grilled BBQ chicken fingers, or you can get an appetizer of boneless wings with 21 sauces and 4 dry rubs. Long time residents of Augusta should know that this is the place which purchased the famous Nisker's burger recipe, now offering 9 different versions based off that recipe.
